An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after two incidents of interference inside the final furlong when the winner, Labeebb (IRE), ridden by David Egan, interfered with Arabian Warrior (GB), placed second, ridden by Callum Shepherd.
In the first incident approximately 1 furlong out, Egan was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to edge right-handed without correction, carrying Arabian Warrior (GB) slightly off its intended line.
In the second incident shortly before the line, Egan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift right-handed away from the whip without sufficient correction, giving a significant bump to Arabian Warrior (GB) who became unbalanced when also carried notably of its line by Labeebb (IRE).
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Labeebb (IRE)’s placing as Arabian Warrior (GB) suffered the interference over approximately six strides close to the line and was beaten by a diminishing head and revised the placings as follows: First, Arabian Warrior (GB); Second, Labeebb (IRE).
Following the race, Adam McNamara reported that Hydraulic (GB), unplaced, ran in snatches and raced greenly.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Fiach Stoney (IRE), unplaced, lost its left-fore shoe.
