An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 furlong after the start between MARGARET J, placed seventh, ridden by Nicola Currie and ARMS OF THE ANGEL (GER), placed fifth, ridden by Oliver Stammers. Being a 7lb claimer, Stammers was offered accompaniment in the enquiry, but declined. Currie was cautioned for careless riding as she manoeuvred right when insufficiently clear, causing Stammers to take a precautionary check on ARMS OF THE ANGEL (GER).

Shortly after the start, the winner, FITWOOD STAR, lugged slightly right causing MARGARET J, placed seventh, to be steadied when tightened for room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of FITWOOD STAR.
