Permission was given for Bay Of Naples (IRE) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the first bend when Two Brothers (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Joanna Mason, interfered with Gabrials Boy (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Jack Garritty, which in turn interfered with the winner, Aweedram (IRE), ridden by Trevor Whelan.
Mason was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as she had allowed her horse to edge left towards the rail when insufficiently clear of Gabrials Boy (GB), causing Garritty to take a check which in turn briefly tightened Aweedram (IRE) for room against the rail.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong when Fairmac (GB), placed second, ridden by Franny Norton interfered with Two Brothers (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Joanna Mason.
Norton was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left without correction causing Mason to take a significant check against the rail.
Following the race, Joanna Mason reported that Two Brothers (GB) was never travelling.
