Permission was given for Tenjin (GB) to go early to post and for Iconic Moment (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approximately one furlong out when New Definition (GB), placed second, ridden by Tom Queally and Minnetonka (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by David Probert, interfered with Candle Of Hope (GB), unplaced, ridden by George Rooke.
The Stewards found the interference to be accidental as New Definition (GB) rolled marginally left-handed at the same time as Minnetonka (IRE) shifted slightly right, causing Rooke to have to take a check and switch his mount.
Being unable to satisfy themselves that although Candle Of Hope (GB) had suffered interference, the momentum and ground lost by the filly was less than the cumulative length and a half by which it was beaten by New Definition (GB), and the nose and the head by which it was beaten by Minnetonka (IRE), they considered that the interference had not improved the placing of either Minnetonka (IRE) or New Definition (GB).
Following the race, Richard Kingscote reported that Alpha Capture (IRE), unplaced, hung right- handed.
