The Starter reported that Look Out Louis (GB) was the subject of a third criteria failure.
Julie Camacho was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
The winner, Look Out Louis (GB), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at York on 17 August 2022, where the gelding finished twenty-first of twenty-two runners, beaten 15 lengths.
Julie Camacho could offer no explanation for Look Out Louis (GB)’s improved form other than the gelding has run disappointingly at York on several occasions.
The performance of Atalis Bay (GB), which finished last of the eight runners, was considered.
Robert Cowell’s representative could offer no explanation other than the jockey reported that the gelding hung left and stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Atalis Bay (GB) during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
