She's tough and honest. On her run in a maiden hurdle here she was probably entitled to win. It's great for Caren, she's a big supporter of the yard and that's her first winner since Aidan passed away. We'll try and get a bit of black-type with her somewhere. The Raceday Stewards enquired into the start of this race where it appeared K.M. Donoghue, rider of Jokers 'N' Clowns was unseated shortly after the start of the race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and the I.H.R.B Starter Mr. J.R. Banahan. K.M. Donoghue stated that his mount was very unruly at the start and fly leaping and just as Mr. Banahan let them off, his mount went up again and he was unseated after the race was started. He added that it was just unfortunate timing. Mr. J.R. Banahan stated that Mr. Donoghue's mount was acting up and just as he let them off Mr. Donohue's mount leaped into the air and unseated the rider after the flag was dropped. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that a fair start had been effected and they took no further action

S. O'Callaghan, rider of Curzon Queen, trained by H. Smyth, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
