Ballyellis (IRE) wore earplugs throughout the race.
Having reviewed the start the Stewards were satisfied that Ghost Serge (IRE) had refused to race after the start had been effected and was therefore deemed to be a runner.
The Starter reported that Ghost Serge (IRE), had refused to race after the start was effected.
The representative of David Pipe and the Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
As Ghost Serge (IRE) had also refused to race at Lingfield on 03 December 2019 the trainer was informed that any future similar behaviour from the gelding may result in the horse being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
The winner Applesandpierres (IRE) appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Cheltenham on 17 November 2019 where the gelding finished eleventh of sixteen runners, beaten by 33 lengths.
The representative of Sophie Leech could offer no explanation for APPLEANDPIERRES' (IRE) improved form other than the gelding had been training well at home.
Applesandpierres (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Nathan Brennan reported that Little Rory Mac (IRE), placed fifth, hung badly left- handed in the home straight.
