It took her 20 runs to win one and now she has two won. I actually thought the handicapper was too hard on her but she did it well and it was a very good ride as he was able to get the fractions right on her. We'll look to run her in a fillies' handicap from a low weight next. She is belonging to a local man Sean Rushe from Patrickswell. He actually had open heart surgery a week before she won the last day and that will cheer him up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fil The Power (GB), trained by Kevin Michael Smith, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis
The Stewards enquired into an incident about two furlongs from the finish involving Takeachancejimmy, ridden by A.J. Farragher, unplaced, Fil The Power (GB), ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced and Morning Approach, ridden by W.J. Lee, unplaced, where it appeared that Takeachancejimmy met with interference and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A.J. Farragher stated that his mount did not have the pace to hold his position when the gap closed and he had to check. C.D. Hayes stated that his mount was feeling the ground and got unbalanced causing him to roll around at the time of the incident. W.J. Lee stated that his mount was not handling the ground when rolling at the time of the incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action
A.J. Farragher, rider of Takeachancejimmy trained by Nigel Thomas Slevin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met with interference at the top of the home straight
C.D. Hayes, rider of Fil The Power (GB) trained by Kevin Michael Smith, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lugged coming down the hill
W.J. Lee, rider of Morning Approach trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never came down the hill and did not like the ground.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards (80 = 10st)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 10st and the minimum weight shall not be less than 8st 6lbs
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won.
