Staying is his forte. He is bred to stay and he is a stayer and today was his best day jumping by a long way,. He ran in Limerick over Christmas when we thought he had a chance but Limerick can be extremely tough going and today suited. It was a handicap and he was rated lower than his hurdles rating and Eoin claimed 7lbs as well. Eoin has already ridden a winner, second, third and fourth for me and has been lucky for me. The Stewards interviewed Miss E.A. Lalor, rider of Ask Mary, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Miss E.A. Lalor was in breach of R10(3)(i) by using her whip without allowing her mount at least three strides to respond. Having taken her previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Miss E.A. Lalor on this occasion
