It took a while but it’s great to get her head in front. She was second to Mighty Jeremy, who went on to win a few races, on similar ground at Clonmel last year. I’d say that’s what she wants. We could tip away with her for a while as long as the ground is yielding or softer. Two and a half is her trip.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed the closing stages of this race involving Friends N Commerce, ridden by P.K
Donovan, placed second, and Ernie From Nurney, ridden by P.T. Smithers, placed third, where it appeared P.T
Smithers struck P.K. Donovan with his whip after jumping the last fence. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the incident was accidental and that no further action was warranted
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mick Charlie, trained by Declan Queally, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards interviewed P.K. Donovan, rider of Friends N Commerce, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that P.K. Donovan was in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record they suspended him for one raceday
N.T. Prendergast, rider of Ella Rose, trained by D E Prendergast, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third last
