Following the race, Jamie Gormley reported that Jabbaar (GB), placed sixth, was never travelling.
An enquiry was held into the circumstances surrounding the chime being sounded by the racecourse and a public announcement being made immediately after the conclusion to race 3, and prior to the BHA Stewards clearing the race.
The Clerk of the Course and the Broadcast Office Engineer were interviewed.
Having heard their evidence and noting the explanation given by the Clerk of the Course that this had been a practice safety and evacuation procedure and that there would be a further review of this procedure, no further action was taken.
