Approximately 2 furlongs out, the winner Mystery Power (IRE), shifted quickly right-handed causing James Doyle, the rider of KING’S COMMAND, unplaced, to take a preventative check.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of the winner Mystery Power (IRE).
Approximately one furlong out, Year Of The Tiger (IRE), unplaced, shifted quickly right-handed, carrying Wild Thunder (IRE), unplaced, off its intended line, which in turn caused James Doyle, the rider of KING’S COMMAND, unplaced, to take a slight check.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of Year Of The Tiger (IRE), which started second favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
The representative for Aidan O’Brien could offer no explanation for the colt’s performance; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the colt failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The performance of KING’S COMMAND, which started favourite and finished last of the eight runners, was considered.
Charlie Appleby’s explanation that the colt was unsuited by the ground, which was officially described as Good to Firm on this occasion and would prefer an easier surface, was noted.
KING’S COMMAND was routine tested.
On 16/07/2019 Aidan O'Brien reported that Year Of The Tiger unplaced, had returned a blood sample that had shown an incorrect blood profile.
