An enquiry was held into the position of the stalls for this race, which were originally set up in the centre of the course, when they should have been on the stand side rail.

The Clerk of the Course, the Starters and the Stalls Team Leader were interviewed.

The Starter explained that the stalls had inadvertently been positioned in the centre of the track.

However, the error was quickly identified and the stalls were moved to the correct position before the designated start time.

Their explanations were noted and passed on to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.

An enquiry was held into the missing print on the right-hand side of the number cloth of Amarillo Star (IRE).

The Clerk of the Course, Clerk of the Scales and the Number Cloth Coordinator were interviewed.

The Clerk of the Course explained that the mistake was due to a printing error with the manufacturer and that they have not had an issue like this before.

He added that he will be raising the issue with the manufacturer to ensure the error does not happen again.

Their explanations were noted.

Following the race, Charles Bishop reported that Brunel's Boy (GB), unplaced, lost its action and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination, during routine testing, revealed the colt to be lame behind.
