Permission was given for Trusty Scout (IRE) to go early to post and to be mounted on the chute.
CAZCASE was withdrawn by the Stewards, at 20:01, having unseated the rider going onto the track, and galloped loose for 1 1/2 circuits of the track.
Trusty Scout (IRE) went freely to post and overshot the start.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
Leaving the stalls, Written Broadcast (IRE), placed second, jumped slightly right-handed bumping Connie R (IRE), unplaced, causing it to in turn crowd Trusty Scout (IRE), placed third, before Trusty Scout (IRE) then had to be checked when Guitar (GB), unplaced, on its outside lugged left- handed away from Cassiel (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any runner.
Approaching the final furlong, Creek Harbour (IRE), unplaced, lugged right-handed before being corrected by its rider bumping Guitar (GB), unplaced, which was hampered but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Sam James reported that Bazalgette (IRE), placed fourth, was denied a clear run for some distance approaching the home bend.
