I thought he would win last Monday but I'd say he didn't handle the track as he was beaten after two furlongs. He came out of it well and has been a long time trying to win a maiden. He got a bit weak after being gelded over the winter, and he'll probably be better as a four-year-old.

The Stewards received a report from the Turf Club Veterinary Officer regarding, J.A.Stack, trainer, of Hark (GB), concerning the fact that the vaccinations contained in the passport for this horse were incorrect for the second successive occasion. In accordance with Rule 90 the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Hark (GB) and fined the trainer ?350. N.G. McCullagh, rider of Shinko Princess, trained by C.P.Donoghue, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount had to check at halfway. The Stewards informed V.Clifford, trainer that Anakar, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again. O.J. Orr, rider of Voge, trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his saddle slipped and his mount started bucking before he was unseated.
