The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Bella Bluesky (GB), compared with its previous run at Newcastle on 19 January 2024 where the mare finished last of nine, beaten 37 lengths, was considered.
Ewan Whillans explained that Bella Bluesky (GB) appeared to benefit from a step up in trip from 1m to 1m4f on this occasion.
