F.M. Berry, rider of Alive Alive Oh (GB) trained by T. Stack, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount became unbalanced about 100 yards from the finish and was eased from thereon. The Stewards requested a report from Charles O'Brien, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Iveagh Gardens, placed first, as compared with its previous run. Charles O'Brien reported that his charge had run a good race until tiring about one and a half furlongs from the finish here at the Curragh 29th March whereas today the very testing underfoot conditions may have suited her more than her fellow competitors and she appeared to stay on well inside the final furlong under a very good ride from N.G. McCullagh. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
