His form had been marvellous and he did it very well. He took me there well and I didn't have to ask him many questions. He jumped and did everything. He'll come on loads from that run as well. He is going that direction (through the grades) but I'm sure the lads will have a plan for him. It's a privilege to get these opportunities on these horses and I'd like to thank the owners and trainers for looking after me.

B. Browne, rider of You No Me Too Well trained by R. K. Watson, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise in running and was pulled up
At the request of the Stewards, J.B. Kane, rider of Every River (GB), trained by W J Bryson, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount began to hang badly after the third last flight and was then pulled up lame.
