Permission was given for Medal Of Glory (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start.
Shortly after the start, Becoming (IRE), placed third, changed leads and lugged left-handed intimidating Heers Harry (GB), unplaced, which was baulked and in turn shifted left tightening SHE’S SOPHIE, unplaced, onto Medal Of Glory (IRE), placed fourth, which was checked but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Becoming (IRE).
Approaching 4 furlongs out, the winner, Lincoln Dream (IRE), which was running freely, hung left- handed badly crowding Isle Of Hope (GB), placed fifth, which in turn caused Medal Of Glory (IRE), placed fourth, to be tightened for room on the rail, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Lincoln Dream (IRE).
Approaching the final furlong, No Fear Lucy (IRE), unplaced, lugged right-handed before being corrected by its rider at the same time as Heers Harry (GB), unplaced, hung quickly left-handed causing the rider of Global Mirage (GB), placed sixth, to steady his mount and switch right in order to continue with its run, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approximately 1 furlong out, No Fear Lucy (IRE), unplaced, shifted left-handed away from the whip before being quickly corrected by its rider, resulting in Isle Of Hope (GB), placed fifth, being significantly checked in its run, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Liam Browne reported that Isle Of Hope (GB), placed fifth, was denied a clear run approaching and passing the 1 furlong marker.
