Kilcruit books his ticket to Cheltenham
He did what we set out to do but I don't know if we learned much, except that he gallops and jumps. We'll see what the time is like compared to the rest of the day but it wouldn't have looked like the fastest two miles. He did everything efficiently anyway and I suppose we'll keep him at the minimum trip. He had nothing there to make him jump and sharpen him up. I just thought they weren't going a real sharp gallop. I don't know whether I'll run him again before he goes to Cheltenham. I'd imagine he'll go for the Supreme Novices, it's hardly likely he'll have another run, he'll just go there and take his chance.

Justicialism rewards journey down from north
He was tough out. He never shows a whole pile at home, you can never get too excited about his work at home. I was well happy with him there today, where we go now I don't know. I thought he was harshly enough handicapped but we were alright! The plan was to try and get him handicap ready and it worked out grand. That is the owner Norman Houston's first winner on the track. Kevin Ross bought him for us in Newmarket at the July Sales.

Ewing and Rock On Cassie surge home to win
We'll take any winner and it's nice for Sam as it's his first winner for us over jumps. He's working in the yard now and he's getting better every day,. They are a syndicate of local lads and it's great for them as it's the first horse they've had with us. Jack (Kennedy) was happy with her the first day and he actually wanted to ride her. If he rode her she would probably have been a third of the price. They'll have a bit of fun with her and she'll jump a fence in time as well.

Mullins and Townend double up with Classic Getaway
It was a very workmanlike performance. I think the hood had the desired effect and maybe he settled too much. Whether we'll use it again or not I don't know. It certainly did what we needed it to do and I think he was just lazy in front. That ground is very deceiving, it's much more testing than it looks. Our fella had a good blow after it and I think there is plenty of improvement left in him. I'd imagine we'll be looking at two-and-a-half if not three in future. We certainly won't be coming back in trip anyway. I'd imagine he'll be put in the Ballymore and Albert Bartlett and we'll have a look nearer the time. I won't make any decision now what direction he goes but it would be one of those two I'd imagine.

Round The Buoy brings up 104/1 double for Sexton
I was probably too long waiting to put the blinkers on him,. He was 50th in the ballot for today and I didn't expect him to get in. He ran on Saturday and wasn't tired afterwards, he didn't exert himself a lot. It's so hard to get into races I said we'd go again. He has ability but he doesn't show a lot at home.

Smash The Lamp all heart in getting off the mark
We're happy with that. I've been giving out about the handicapper for the last three months saying he's not dropping her enough to give us a chance. If heart was ability she'd be a Grade 1 horse because she's got some heart. She's lacking a little bit of ability but heart worked out for her there. She stays forever, for the size of her as she's only 15-1. You'd think she wouldn't handle that ground but obviously she does. As small as she is, she's a brilliant leaper so we'll probably go over fences with her as well. She might get a little break next month, a couple of weeks off, and then she'll be there for the summer.
