An enquiry was held to consider why Mohammed Tabti, the rider of Rodeo Drive (IRE), appeared to attempt to take the wrong course, going right-handed at the junction 1 furlong after the start, before quickly correcting his mount on to the right course.
Tabti was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
Being a 7Ib claiming apprentice, Tabti was accompanied by the representative of Paul & Oliver Cole.
The Stewards reminded Tabti and his employer of their responsibility to walk and familiarise their selves with the course.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong when Rodeo Drive (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Mohammed Tabti, interfered with Eton Blue (IRE), placed seventh, ridden by Pat Cosgrave.
Being a 7Ib claiming apprentice, Tabti was accompanied by the representative of Paul & Oliver Cole.
Tabti was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction carrying Eton Blue (IRE) off its intended line.
Inside the final furlong, Fire Eyes (FR), placed third, shifted marginally left causing Rodeo Drive (IRE), placed fifth, to shy away and bump Eton Blue (IRE), placed seventh, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Fire Eyes (FR).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Modern Beauty (IRE), unplaced, had lost its left fore shoe and David Egan reported that Look Ahead (GB), unplaced, ran green.
