The Stewards interviewed J.W. Kennedy, rider of Sam's Choice, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that J.W. Kennedy was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they suspended him for five racedays
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Grivei (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
A hurdle for five years old and upwards, maidens at starting that are EBF eligible and that have not run under any Rules of Racing as a two or three yr old
