An enquiry was held to consider three incidents of interference involving Itkaann (IRE), placed third, ridden by David Probert; Enigmatic (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Harry Burns; Soundslikethunder (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Joe Fanning; Far Hope (IRE), placed second, ridden by Cieren Fallon; and Prize Fighting (GB), unplaced, ridden by Hector Crouch.
The first incident, just inside the 2 furlong marker, was found to be accidental in that Prize Fighting (GB) shifted left-handed before being corrected, carrying Itkaann (IRE) off its intended line, making contact with Soundslikethunder (IRE), which in turn tightened Enigmatic (IRE) against the rail.
In the second incident, approaching the final furlong, the interference was also found to be accidental in that Far Hope (IRE) shifted quickly left-handed before being corrected, carrying Prize Fighting (GB), Itkaann (IRE), Soundslikethunder (IRE), and Enigmatic (IRE) all off their intended lines.
In the third incident, just inside the final furlong, Fallon was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his horse to shift left-handed for a second time under a right-hand drive without sufficient correction, causing Prize Fighting (GB) to have to take a check off heels, carrying Itkaann (IRE) off its intended line which in turn made contact with Soundslikethunder (IRE).
Following the race, Callum Shepherd reported that Surprise Picture (IRE), which started joint second- favourite and finished unplaced, ran flat.
