Permission was given for Huddle Up (IRE) to go early to post, wearing a red hood, and to be mounted in the chute; and for Watchya (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Leaving the stalls, CAPOTE’S DREAM (IRE), placed fourth, jumped left-handed bumping Roman Emperor (GB), unplaced, causing the rider of Roman Emperor (GB) to become unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of CAPOTE’S DREAM (IRE).
The winner, Solar Aclaim (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Epsom on 16 August 2024, where the gelding finished fifth of seven runners, beaten 6 ¼ lengths.
The representative of Hamad Al Jehani’s explanation that the gelding was suited by the return to Heavy ground, was noted.
Solar Aclaim (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Gina Mangan reported that Land Of Magic (GB), placed second, hung right-handed under pressure.
