Permission was given for Arthur's Realm (IRE), Sonnerie Power (FR) and Dancing In Paris (FR) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries.
The winner Sonnerie Power (FR) appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Chester on 14 July 2023, where the gelding finished seventh of eight beaten 13½ lengths.
The representative of Roger Varian explained that the gelding had been freshened up following a 96 day break from its previous run.
Their explanation was noted, and the gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Richard Kingscote reported that French Invasion (IRE), unplaced, hung left under pressure.
