Aidan O’Brien explained that the colt may have been unsuited by the Good, Good to Firm in Places going on this occasion, which in his opinion was riding slower than the going had been on its winning run at The Curragh.
He further added that Aikhal (IRE) may also have been unsuited by the slow early pace and the step up in trip to 1m 4f from 1m 2f.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the colt failed to reveal any abnormalities.
