Sean Bowen, the rider of Dr Des (IRE), placed sixth, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip in the incorrect place.
The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Shot Boii (IRE), which had never previously been placed, was considered.
The representative of David Pipe explained that the gelding had benefitted from the first time application of cheek pieces and the step up in trip.
His explanation was noted; Shot Boii (IRE) was routine tested.
The performance of On The Bandwagon (IRE), which was pulled up, was considered.
The representative of Jonjo O'Neill could offer no explanation for the gelding's performance.
