An enquiry was held to consider two incidents of interference between the third-last and second-last hurdles involving the winner, Hollow Ron (IRE), ridden by Henry Brooke, Merveillo (GB), placed second, ridden by Richie McLernon, and Drop Him In (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Fergus Gregory.
The first incident shortly after jumping the third last was found to be accidental after it was established that initially Merveillo (GB) edged slightly right-handed making contact with Hollow Ron (IRE), which became unbalanced as a result, before the pair then leant into each other and raced tightly for some distance thereafter.
The second incident approaching the second last was also found to be accidental after establishing that Hollow Ron (IRE) edged slightly left-handed bumping Merveillo (GB), which then veered left-handed into the path of Drop Him In (IRE) at the same time as For Jim (IRE), placed third, lugged right-handed from the inside, which caused For Jim (IRE) to be hampered when tightened up for racing room.
