Permission was given for Epic Express (GB) to go early to post and for Top Exhibit (GB) to be mounted in the chute.
Rainbow Mirage (GB) kicked the rail in the chute when going down to the start.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start, the filly was deemed fit to race.
The winner Epic Express (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Chelmsford on 8 September 2022 where the gelding finished fifth of tenth, beaten by 7 lengths.
Chris Dwyer’s explanation that Epic Express (GB) settled better and benefitted in the drop back in trip on this occasion was noted.
Epic Express (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Elle-May Croot reported that Healing Power (GB), placed second, ran too free in the early stages and Mollie Phillips reported that Under Curfew (GB), unplaced, ran too free in the early stages which caused it to clip a heel.
