An enquiry was held to consider two incidents of interference in this race both involving Space Kid (IRE), placed third, ridden by Cieren Fallon, the winner, SWINTON MOON, ridden by Theodore Ladd and Wholelotafun (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Laura Coughlan.
In the first incident, entering the first bend, Fallon was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left when insufficiently clear, causing interference to Wholelotafun (IRE) which then resulted in SWINTON MOON to become crowded on the rail.
In the second incident, rounding the first bend, Fallon was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed Space Kid (IRE) to drift left onto the rail, causing Ladd to take a check resulting in Coughlan suffering interference and causing both horse and rider to become unbalanced.
In the home straight, the winner, Swinton Noon (GB), hung sharply right-handed despite the riders best efforts interfering with Space Kid (IRE), placed third, causing him to take a check.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Book of Secrets (IRE), placed fourth, ran too free.
