Permission was given for Almufti (GB) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring only.

The Starter reported that Warsaw Road (IRE) refused to enter the stalls.

Robert Cowell was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.

An enquiry was held into the running and riding of Dream Today (IRE), ridden by Dougie Costello and trained by Jamie Osborne, which was held up in rear, before staying on one-paced under apparent considerate handling, to finish fifth, beaten by 1½ lengths.

The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the race; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.

The rider stated his instructions had been to allow Dream Today (IRE) to sit where comfortable and to find a rhythm.

He added that he found himself 2 lengths further back in the field than he had desired and that having made his effort in the straight he was slightly crowded for room and that the gelding had hung left-handed under pressure, a fact he had reported at Scales.

He continued that, in his opinion, Dream Today (IRE) had stayed on one-paced and was passing beaten horses.

His explanation was noted.

Rounding the home bend, Global Tango (IRE), unplaced, edged slightly left-handed, carrying Dream Today (IRE), unplaced, onto Eljaddaaf (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

Following the race, Sophie Ralston reported that Eljaddaaf (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference rounding the home bend.
