Permission was given for Devasboy (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
The Starter reported that Reel Prospect (IRE) was unruly in the stalls and withdrawn at 2:07pm.
David O’Meara was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held to consider interference just inside the final furlong involving Big Narstie (FR), placed third, ridden by Luke Morris, Devasboy (GB), placed second, ridden by Clifford Lee, LOCKED N’ LOADED, unplaced, ridden by William Carson and Mickey Mongoose (GB), unplaced, ridden by Cam Hardie.
The interference was found to be accidental as Big Narstie (FR) shifted quickly left-handed despite Morris’ best efforts to correct his mount, taking Devasboy (GB) off its intended line, which in turn caused knock-on interference to LOCKED N’LOADED and Mickey Mongoose (GB).
Following the race, William Carson reported that LOCKED N’ LOADED, unplaced, hung right-handed.
