S. Foley, rider of Witty Repartee trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in the final furlong. The Stewards requested a report from J. S. Bolger, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Mainicin, winner, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that any apparent improvement in form shown by his filly was due to her getting her favoured fast ground today. Having considered the report, the Stewards it's contents.
