Rounding the bend after the finish line on the first circuit, Terresita (IRE), unplaced, hung badly right carrying The Macon Lugnatic (GB), placed second, wide off the bend, resulting in Faire Part Sivola (FR), unplaced, clipping a front heel of Welsh Saint (FR), placed third, causing both Faire Part Sivola (FR) and Welsh Saint (FR) to trip and stumble, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Scarpia (IRE) ran out approaching the last hurdle in the back straight, unseating Nathan Brennan.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved and caused by the gelding veering violently left-handed and through the running rail.
Luca Morgan, the rider of The Macon Lugnatic (GB), placed second, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip above the permitted level from approaching the final bend.
Following the race, Brian Hughes reported that Terresita (IRE), unplaced, hung right throughout and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the mare during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
