The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Magical Vision, ridden by K.G. Kennedy, placed sixth, and Curraheen Princess, ridden by T. Kiely-Marshall, unplaced, where it appeared Magical Vision pushed out to create a gap. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K. G. Kennedy stated that his mount was full of running and he forced his way out. T. Kiely-Marshall stated that he had tried to maintain his line when he received pressure from his left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that K. G. Kennedy was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two race days.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards (90 = 10st)
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
Riders - Apprentices who hold an Apprentice Licence under Rules of Racing issued by any recognised Turf Authority and who have not lost the right to claim the 5lb allowance (65 winners) Also open to riders who have not ridden more than 10 winners under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing from 25th March, 2023 to 1st November, 2023 inclusive
