Permission was given for Ballytechno (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
The performance of Young Jack (IRE) which started favourite and finished tenth of eleven runners, beaten 24 ¾ lengths, was considered.
Chris Grant could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer examined Young Jack (IRE) during routine testing and found the gelding to have an irregular heartbeat.
An enquiry was held to consider the circumstances surrounding why the padding on the first flight of hurdles in the back straight on the final circuit had become dislodged from its wooden frame, which impeded Nab Wood (IRE).
The Managing Director, Clerk of the Course and the Head Groundsman were interviewed and shown recordings of incident.
After hearing the evidence, a report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horse Racing Authority for further consideration.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that GYPSEY’S SECRET (IRE), unplaced, finished lame on its right fore.
