Approaching the first bend, a free running Tele Red (GB), placed fourth, had to be checked by its rider when running onto the heels of Sea Oscar (GB), placed third.
A short distance later Tele Red (GB) then hung right- handed off the bend and carried Rhythmic Blues (GB), unplaced, wide off its intended line but after viewing a recording of both incidents it was found that there were no riding offences involved.
Following the race, Sophie Clements reported that Tele Red (GB) ran too freely.
Joanna Mason, the rider of Rhythmic Blues (GB) reported that she lost the use of her right iron after her foot slipped out approaching 1½ furlongs out, adding that she was then unable to regain the iron and this had placed her at a disadvantage when riding a finish for the remainder of the race.
