Permission was given for Yanifer (GB) to go early to post.
Shortly after the start, Royal Zabeel (IRE), placed third, lost its early position when tightened for room, between, Rathbone (GB), unplaced, which lugged right-handed and the winner, The Turpinator (IRE), which edged slightly left-handed, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of The Turpinator (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 2½ furlongs out, involving Yanifer (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Connor Planas and Hectic (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Callum Rodriguez.
Planas was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without being fully clear of Hectic (GB), causing that runner to become unbalanced when briefly short of room on the rail.
Following the race, Ryan Sexton reported that Desert Falcon (IRE), unplaced, was very slowly away from the stalls and Clifford Lee reported that Royal Zabeel (IRE), placed third, was denied a clear run approaching 1 furlong out.
