He's just kept on improving this year,. He's so quick into his stride that sometimes he was doing too much too early and then not quite getting home. Now he's learned that even though he'd quick into his stride he doesn't have to go flat out and he's improving all the time. He's won that off 96 and I don't quite know where were are going to go now. He's in the Ayr Gold Cup but I still don't think he'd going to get in with a penalty.

The Stewards interviewed C. Bishop, rider of Ice Age, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that C. Bishop was not in breach of R10 and therefore took no further action.
An extended handicap for three yrs old and upwards which are EBF eligible and that, at entry, have run at least twice under any Rules of Racing and are eligible for a handicap rating (105 = 9st 12lb)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap; shall not be less than 9st 12lb
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra; for each race won.
