Fame And Acclaim (IRE) was keen going out onto the track and appeared to lose its hindquarters when trying to avoid the running rail.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
The winner, Mr Mccann (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Ascot on 16 June 2022 where the colt finished twenty-ninth of thirty, beaten by 18¼ lengths.
The representative of Hugo Palmer’s explanation that Mr Mccann (IRE) appeared to benefit from what they considered to be a less competitive contest on this occasion, was noted.
The colt was routine tested.
