Rounding the home bend, Sea Grey (GB), placed seventh, became momentarily short of room, resulting in the rider having to take a check and switch off the heels of the weakening Chase The Dollar (GB), unplaced, which was quickly dropping back through the field, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 furlong from the line, involving Rich Belief (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Robert Colgan and Tailorman (FR), placed third, ridden by Ryan Kavanagh.

Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Kavanagh was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.

Kavanagh was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed when insufficiently clear of Colgan, resulting in Colgan having to take a slight check.

Following the race, Robert Colgan reported that Rich Belief (GB), placed sixth, hung left-handed and suffered interference approximately 1 furlong from the line; Franny Norton reported that Sea Grey (GB), placed seventh, was denied a clear run rounding the home bend; and Billy Garritty reported that My Harrison George (IRE), placed fifth, was denied a clear run approximately 1 furlong from the line.
