The Veterinary Officer reported that Jetoile (IRE), trained by Ryan Potter, appeared to be suffering from ringworm and the trainer did not have a Certificate of Non-Contagiousness.
Potter was fined £140 and skin scrapings from the horse were sent for analysis.
The performance of Highstakesplayer (IRE), which started favourite and was pulled up, was considered.
The explanation given by the representative of Tom Lacey that the race may have come too soon for the gelding having run 22 days previously, was noted.
Following the race, Alan King reported that GRANDEUR D’AME (FR), which was pulled up, had bled from the nose.
