Approximately 1½ furlongs out, Regal Reality (GB), placed fourth, edged slightly right causing Forest Ranger (IRE), placed sixth, to be short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Regal Reality (GB).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Forest Ranger (IRE), placed sixth, had lost both front shoes.
