Permission was given for Great Hall (GB) to go early to post and Winged Spur (IRE) wore earplugs in the preliminaries which were removed at the start.
Having reviewed the start the Stewards were satisfied that Buckland Boy (IRE) had refused to race and was deemed to be a runner.
The performance of Winged Spur (IRE), placed sixth, was considered.
The representative for Mark Johnston could offer no explanation for the mare’s performance.
Following the race, Darragh Keenan reported that Great Hall (GB), placed seventh, was never travelling.
