She won nicely and the drop in distance probably suited her. She pulled too hard over a mile and a quarter the last day and she's probably going a bit better. She won snugly. We don't work her too hard at home so we were in the dark with her. She likes an ease and wouldn't have run without the rain. If we get similar ground we'll see if we can win a handicap with her. The Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Chicago Girl, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed third, Nidhaam (GB), ridden by P.J. Smullen, placed fourth and Sweetest Taboo, ridden by W.J. Lee, unplaced, where it appeared Chicago Girl suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion W.J. Lee was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having taken his record into account, they suspended him for 1 raceday. I.T. Queally, rider of Not Just Any Girl, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran very green, hung right off bend into the straight and stayed on well towards the finish.
