Inside the three furlong marker, Ottoman Prince (IRE), placed fifth, stumbled and shifted quickly left- handed causing the rider of Tropez Power (IRE), unplaced, to take a check.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Ottoman Prince (IRE).
Approximately one and half furlongs out, Tropez Power (IRE), unplaced, lugged slightly right-handed, causing the rider of a weakening LION’S DREAM (FR), unplaced, to take a slight check.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of Tropez Power (IRE) which finished sixth of eight, beaten 19 lengths, was considered.
John Quinn could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Tropez Power (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Alistair Rawlinson reported that Lion's Dream (FR), unplaced, became unbalanced in the back straight.
