The Stewards informed C. Moore, trainer that Coviglia, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again
The Stewards requested a report from Noel G. Hynds, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Court Of Appeal, placed second, as compared with its recent form. Noel G. Hynds reported that his charge was given a break since its previous run here on the 10th November 2021. Since the animals return he had changed the training routine to also include a change in hay and feed. In his opinion the break and the changes had the desired effect

An extended handicap for four years old and upwards rated 45-65
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 10st 2lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 8st 7lbs
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
Riders - Confined to Riders who have not ridden more than 15 winners under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing from 28th June, 2021 to 14th February, 2022 inclusive
