Permission was given for Bush Rose (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Inside the final furlong, Stintino Sunset (GB), placed third, hung left-handed despite the riders best efforts, causing Trackman (GB), placed fourth, to become short of room and the rider having to take a check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Stintino Sunset (GB).
The winner, Bush Rose (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Wolverhampton on 23 September 2023 where the filly finished eleventh of eleven, beaten by 23 lengths.
Phil McEntee’s explanation that Bush Rose (GB) was suited by the Soft, Heavy in places going on this occasion was noted and the filly was routine tested.
Following the race, Dylan Hogan reported that Stintino Sunset (GB), placed third, hung left-handed in the straight and Benoit de la Sayette reported that Fully Deployed (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed under pressure.
Robert Eddery reported that SOMEONE’S WISH (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by the Soft, Heavy in places ground and would prefer a quicker surface.
