He was probably due one. He's been running well and got his day today which is great,. It's good to get it, we bred him and we have the dam. I trained the sire (Slade Power) as well.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the back straight between the five and six furlong markers involving Caesar's Comet, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, unplaced, Linus Larrabee, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed first, Tai Sing Yeh, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, placed fifth and Praying Mantis, ridden by K.J. Manning, unplaced, where it appeared that Caesar's Comet was tight for room when racing close to the running rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference was caused by general bunching and took no further action
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Caesar's Comet trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was squeezed out when racing close to the rails about five and a half furlongs from the finish
