Permission was given for Uptoon Girl (GB) to go early to post.
Giovanni Tiepolo (GB) unseated William Carson in the Parade Ring but was caught immediately.
Having been examined by the doctor and the Veterinary Surgeon, both were deemed fit to race.
On the run to the line, Wild Flower (IRE), placed fourth, edged marginally left at the same time as Essaka (IRE), placed fifth, edged marginally right for clear running, causing a weakening Uptoon Girl (GB), placed seventh, to be momentarily eased but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Wild Flower (IRE).
Following the race, Tyler Heard reported that Wild Flower (IRE), placed fourth, hung left-handed under pressure.
Martin Dwyer reported that Sovereign State (GB), unplaced, was very slowly away; Tony Newcombe subsequently reported at Salisbury on Sunday 11 July that the gelding had finished distressed.
